Abdominoplasty involves removing excess skin and fat from the lower abdomen (tummy) and tightening the muscles to improve the shape of the area. It is often referred to as a ‘tummy tuck’.
Body lift surgery involves extensive surgery with a final incision that runs around the waist area on to the back. It is similar although more involved to the information available under abdominoplasty surgery.
Thigh reduction surgery - involves treatment of excess skin in the upper thighs. Commonly this issue arises after a significant amount of weight loss or with the normal ageing process.
Arm Reduction (brachioplasty) Surgery involves treatment of excess skin in the upper arms. (Such excess skin may result in arms being referred to as “bingo arms” or “bat wings”). Commonly this issue arises after a significant amount of weight loss or with the normal ageing process.
Liposuction - This is designed to re-contour areas that may be resistant to weight loss through diet and exercise. It is a targeted procedure and not done as a weight loss measure.
Facelift surgery involves re-supporting the soft tissues of the face, jawline and neck. It involves an incision starting in the temple hairline, passing down just in front of the ear, curling around the lower part of the ear and ending in the hairline behind the ear. As compared to previous surgical methods, only a small amount of skin is removed to minimise the “operated on” look.
Upper eyelid surgery involves resection of excess skin and also some muscle and fat when appropriate for your case. Lower eyelid surgery involves an incision just below the lower eyelashes and readjusting the support structures of the lower eyelid. Very little skin is resected.
Rhinoplasty involves reshaping the cartilage, bone and soft tissues of the nose. This may be to address cosmetic concerns or for reconstructive purposes.
